Chiropractic is the art and science of locating and correcting misalignments in the spine and joints of the body that have become restricted in movement.. If left in that state for an extended period, the surrounding tissues of the joint will degenerate resulting in a lack of function and a decrease in the neuro-electrical impulse through the spine and extremities. The nervous system controls and coordinates every muscle, tissue and organ in the body. Without the proper neuro-electrical impulse to each of these areas, the nerve supply will be deprived, and the body will not function as intended. Chiropractic care restores joint mobility by applying a gentle, yet controlled force into the joints that have become restricted in their movement through what is referred to as a chiropractic adjustment or manual manipulation. Routine chiropractic care can improve motion to the joint, allow the nerve impulse to flow normally and return the reparative/preventative function to the body.

Acupuncture has been used in China for over 5,000 years, Traditionally, it is based on ancient Chinese theories of the flow of Qi (energy) and Xue (blood) through collateral channels or meridian which traverse the body that is closed but not identical to the nervous and blood circulatory systems. According to this theory, acupuncture regulates this flow of Qi, nourishing those areas where it is deficient and draining it from where it is excessive. Thus, acupuncture regulates the harmonious and energetic balance of the body. In, Chinese, there is a famous dictum " There is no pain if there is free flow; if there is pain, there is no free flow." In essence, acupuncture promotes the free and balanced flow of Qi and blood.
